In the midst of the atrocities unfolding in Gaza, there are a lot of debates on what exactly is anti-semitism. Our guest in this episode is Jilian Rogin. Jillian identifies as Anti-Zionist Jewish Canadian. Jilian is an Associate Professor and a criminal defence lawyer. Her research interests include critical race/anti-colonial theory including antisemitism and anti-Zionism. Jillian is an active member of Independent Jewish Voices (IJV), Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and the Jewish Faculty Network (JFN). Her PhD research focuses on Jewish advocacy in the enactment of hate speech legislation in Canada including changing conceptions of antisemitism over time.
