Today, I am talking to Maya Hussein. @mayahussein_ is one of the most successful content creators to reflect Arab and Middle Eastern culture in her work. She has made millions of people laugh with her content and has become a household name across the world.

Today, Maya opens the conversation by sharing what it was like going through a divorce as an Arab woman. She shares her perspective on why someone may stay in a toxic relationship, as well as the disadvantage woman from Arab or Middle Eastern cultures face when it comes to the stigma associated with being “divorced”. She also shares the her healing process and how she found family and friends to be a powerful support system.

Maya also shares what inspires her content, how we all live similar lives, as well the importance of teaching children their native languages as an effort to preserve culture.
